Re: Thor: Love & Thunder (2021)
Love and Thunder= a ridiculous title (unless they're going to go full comedy, which maybe that will work somehow--Ragnarok was basically a comedy). Portman as Thor is so underwhelming. As others have mentioned, her acting has been one note in these movies and she is 5'3" and tiny as hell. Not sure h...

Re: Blade (TBD)
Ali is a great actor and a great choice for the role. A little surprised though that they chose him considering he is 45 years of age. This is a physically demanding role that will presumably last for the next decade.

Re: The Little Mermaid (TBD)
A couple of thoughts on the recent casting decision: First, she is apparently a decent singer, so that is a plus (although not a requirement) when playing a Disney Princess. Secondly, and my primary issue with this casting decision is that Bailey doesn't really have a resume. There is no way that a...

Re: Amazon's The Lord of the Rings
For those of you familiar with Tolkien's works, is there enough interesting material to make a compelling prequel to LOTR?

Re: Aladdin (2019)
The CGI isn't the problem. It was decent to good throughout and even impressive at a few points. Agreed. On RT, the critics give the film 58%, while the audience score currently sits at 91%. A huge discrepency, and I have to agree with the audience score on this one. The main cast of Aladdin, Jasmi...

Re: HBO's Game of Thrones
Duvernay and Chastain are ridiculous with their criticisms and I echo what was said about their projecting their politics into this rather than actually critiquing the episode based on the merits. Unfortunately, this is the direction we are headed when it comes to film criticism. If you look at Rott...

Re: Avengers: Endgame (2019)
I really would rather not overthink this particular plot point but I can't help it and if anyone would like to provide some clarity, it would be much appreciated... If Steve goes back in time and lives with Peggy and marries her...doesn't he do so knowing that Bucky lived and is being tortured by Hy...
