Re: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)
I'm one of the few who didn't mind the shaky-cam in Hunger Games, it made you feel like you were involved in the action. Agreed completely. Both styles fit in their respective film. I also loved her evaluation scene when she propped up the manikin on a rope with you know who's name on it. I didn't ...

Re: CBS' Person of Interest
I just gave him three votes. Hopefully no one's putting in days' worth of votes for the other actors.

Re: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013)
Just saw it yesterday and loved it, though I'll need a second viewing for better perspective. I think what I love most about it is its visual and tonal distinction from the (also great) first one -- CF is a colder film. This shift is made easier by the blends inherent in the story. On the other hand...

Re: CBS' Person of Interest
Interesting tidbit on twitter during the episode, I assume in reference to the Reese flashback:
@POIWritersRoom wrote:we were going to reveal Reese's real name in this scene... then decided not to. #seasonfive

Re: CBS' Person of Interest
I agree that the writing this time was on another level. They did so many brilliant things in this episode. The intro communicated everything with no dialogue. And I didn't realize at first that the first and last shots were bookends! The flashbacks were great -- I especially love how skull-like Ree...

Re: Your Favorite Things About TDKR
(No particular order) -The performances (and the Ra's cameo) -Sweeping, textured feel -The way the action sequences develop -References to the previous films, especially Batman's reveal to Gordon, and the new Batsuit's vulnerability to knives -The whole ending sequence (I still tear up when Bruce's ...

Re: Hans Zimmer's TDKR Soundtrack
Just like the actual film, the soundtrack really has this grand essence to it. It's big. It's a soundtrack that truly deserve to be played as loud as possible IMO. Even the piece playing on the DVD menu makes the film feel big. Great way to get hyped before starting it. :D What I also love about Zi...

Re: CBS' Person of Interest
Greg Plageman talking about Reese and Carter: We've always felt the show could go there, but we always wanted it to be organic, and the most interesting thing that emerged in last night's episode was that the kiss was not scripted. We never wrote it in. However you would characterize the relationshi...

Re: CBS' Person of Interest
This episode was amazing start to finish. I was so tense! I'm kind of tempted to see the flip-out on facebook. Kudos to the writers for making me worried about so many characters. And, as it turned out, the promo was all misdirection. That last sequence was brilliantly done -- even though it...

Re: Am I the only one who thought Ra's was the best villain?
It depends on what you see as 'best'. I think Ra's is definitely the most ethereal, which goes really well with the origin story. Liam Neeson has such great presence in general.
