Sure but some we're talking about the blue stuff and anyway it isn't the first time people say stuff like this. When they compare Man of Steel or other DCEU visuals people tend to se TDK as a comparision. For some reason.

Re: Sytlization vs Realism/Naturalism in Movies

Sytlization vs Realism/Naturalism in Movies

I've been thinking around lately. Now that both digital filmmaking and CGI are reaching what we very well may call their apex, and that movies, even ones like David Fincher's modern filmography which are realistic in story content, are using more and more, for the lack of a better word, "animation",...

He could be making his movies at half their budget to achieve a similar effect. He just...doesn't. But he'd probably get more projects and have a better chance getting green...

Re: The Mummy (2017)

There are only two Universal Monsters I'm interested about and neither has a movie planned.

Re: What's your take on the sharp clean look of movies today

Filmmakers are learning a new language of movie making without totally realizing that's what they're doing, so some are left behind speaking "broken celluloid" in a half in half out kind of way intsead of continuing to "speak" in film competently OR learning how to "speak" competently through digit...
