As I've said before, it seems Bane has reached the level of destruction that super villains normally only dream of. The level that both Ra's and the Joker tried and failed to reach.

Potentially, yes. He's transformed his body, demeanor, and voice to wonderful degrees. Though we haven't seen him for more than a few minutes, every line we've heard is extremely compelling, all while his face is obstructed.

These are the exact reasons Heath Ledger won his Oscar.
