Re: HBO's Westworld
Well, if the park is in space, it sure as hell isn't in our solar system. There are no planets or moons in this system with comparable gravity or an atmosphere with the same properties as ours to scatter the sunlight and create a blue sky. Furthermore, as the sun appears to be roughly the same dista...

Re: HBO's Westworld
This was a great follow-up, and I daresay it overshadows the pilot for me. Richard J Lewis also does a great job directing; feels a bit more confident than Jonah.

I believe the average runtime is around 58 minutes (varying between 56-59).Nomis wrote:yay 100th page lol
is the runtime of all the other episodes known already actually? I figure most of them will be between 50-60 minutes, The Original ran over an hour (not that I'm complaining tho lol)

Re: HBO's Westworld
First line of the show is "Can you hear me?" Chris, Gene, Havoc :D :D One scene which I haven't seen anyone note yet was the one between Ford and Bernard, where they talk about mistakes. Hopkins put on a wonderfully layered performance, and if you ask me, that scene is the pilot's clearest idea of ...

Re: HBO's Westworld
The voice over convo in the beginning with Dolores when they explain about how hosts can't kill guests... when does that take place timeline wise? Still to come I guess. Anyway, this plays even better on 2nd watch. I thought it was after she gets raped and presumably murdered by The Man In ...

Re: HBO's Westworld
Part of me hopes Emerson has a small role in there somewhere, maybe to be expanded upon in a second season. The AV Club review mentioned that Dr. Ford had a partner when he started this project, but his name's been scrubbed off the history books. Probably cover this aspect in flashbacks, wherein I'...

Re: HBO's Westworld
One of the best and most prestigious critics in the tv crit business, Alan Sepinwall, had issues with Westworld. Gives it a B-, or a 67 on Metacritic. http://www.metacritic.com/tv/westworld?ref=hp So far with 12 reviews Westworld is getting good but not great reviews. -Vader It's not really unexpec...

Re: HBO's Westworld
And you know for a fact that crowd is in the wrong? Weird. I can't speak for Chris, but I know I can think of numerous ways to sustain the show beyond the plot of the film, so to that extent, people who wonder how it can be sustained just strike me as people who haven't really thought about it. But...

Re: HBO's Westworld
And we now have the first negative review, courtesy of Variety http://variety.com/2016/tv/reviews/westworld-review-hbo-evan-rachel-wood-1201867496/ By now, it’s obvious that television drama, especially in the loftier prestige-driven realms, continues to have problem with the casual and reflexive ov...
