I will be sorely disappointed if this is connected to Inception in any way other than a similar minor way Reservoir Dogs is technically linked to Pulp Fiction . A completely original idea is more exciting than anything else. I'd argue that TDK is the best script he's worked with, and that's a sequel.

Doubtful. Will almost certainly make more money than Dunkirk though.

Without some of the Inception cast appearing in it, though, it would feel more like a gimmick than a cool extension. Not that it's hard to get Murphy, Hardy, Caine, etc. to appear in a Nolan film.

They probably do a big info dump press release within 1-3 weeks. They're just not concerned about early marketing/visibility because Nolan's brand is so big.
