Re: Dunkirk's Cinematography

I have not sent the link to the PDF to the 4 of you above. If anyone else does not want it, please send me a PM. Thanks! Well that sounds like a passive way of going about things. I guess you'll PM it to anyone who doesn't send you that PM, then?? I will not send the PDF to anyone, because that wou...

Re: [SPOILERS] Thread

You can hear it, though. You can hear the chain. I heard it both times I saw it. First time I thought it was a sound effect, more like something icy or something. After ya'll mentioned the chain and I re-heard it, I was able to tell myself what I was hearing. Don't remember him actually getting sna...

Re: Dunkirk's Cinematography

American Cinematographer has released the August issue featuring an amazing article on Dunkirk. They never hold back on details in that publication. I do have a digital subscription, but I don’t think it would be legal to post the PDF here.

Re: Dunkirk General Information/Discussion

I’ve already had a first viewing in digital IMAX (on a 15/70mm sized screen) and I’m planning on a second viewing on standard 70mm. I haven’t heard much about how the standard 70mm screenings have been going. -I’ve heard that the Blade Runner and Justice League trailers are attached to the 70mm prin...

Re: DVD/Blu-ray Release

I think it’s a safe bet that the aspect ratio will expand to 1.90:1 during the IMAX filmed shots, just like TDK, TDKR, and Interstellar, especially now that 70% was shot in IMAX. I’m really hoping they’ll do the same thing they did with Interstellar and include a frame off the 15/70mm print, that wa...

Re: IMAX Locations and Info Thread

...I just realized I could fly from Orlando to Atlanta, $29 one way on Fronteir airlines, taxi to Mall of Gergiia, see Dunkirk in IMAX 70mm as King Nolan himself intended, and fly home in the same day. My bank account thinks this is a hilarious and outlandish idea, but it could work if I had money t...

Re: IMAX Locations and Info Thread

I just came from seeing Dunkirk at Pointe Orlando IMAX. The movie itself was amazing and my knees were shaking the whole time. As some of you may know, Regal Pointe Orlando is a purpose built IMAX that always had a functioning 15/70mm projector until 2012. I don’t think I ever was lucky enough to e...

Re: IMAX Locations and Info Thread

Pointe Orlando used to be my jam. I've heard they might get the 15/70 pj fixed before Dunkirk is out of theaters. I too am real close to Waterford, but we drove down to Ft Lauderdale for IMAX with Laser. For me, well worth the 3hr drive. did the color change when the aspect ratio changed Not sure w...
