I have just got back from seeing it (reviewed it in the movies thread). Was very good, but not quite up to the hype. Fassbender is remarkable. Mulligan is good, but not Oscar worthy. It certainly doesn't pull any punches, and earns its rating. I think it'll get better with time, and another viewing ...

I saw it earlier today, and absolutely loved it. Gimmick or not, it oozes charisma and is just so full of joy you cannot resist it. Oscar contender? Certainly.

I am seeing this on Monday. Really excited, as it is meant to be quality.

The Deep Blue Sea - 4/5

A masterclass in great film making. Expertly directed, beautifully shot and very moving. My only quip is it felt too 'acted' at times.

FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK! This was playing at the Brighton Film Festival. Went down to get tickets about 10 days ago, and it had sold out. Was on last night Seeing The Deep Blue Sea tonight, so hopefully that makes up for it.
