Re: Interstellar Oscar Chances

I'm here just to say that Birdman is a Great movie, one of the Best of this decade and will probably end up in one of my favourite movies of all time. The Most original movie in years, and, yes, is a Great improvement of modern cinema, a real masterpiece. In my opinion this movie is better than Int...

Re: Dr. Mann

Why did everyone start using spoiler tags halfway into this thread? It should be clear from the title of the thread and the first few pages that this is not for someone who hasn't seen the movie...

Anyway, it made it very frustrating to read a large portion of this thread.

Re: Interstellar Oscar Chances

I can't believe the Birdman hate. That was really the only movie I saw this year other than Interstellar that left a lasting impression on me. I really loved it and think of the batch of 8 movies nominated for Best Pic it was definitely the most deserving. But honestly the thing that upset me the ve...

Re: How many times have you seen Interstellar?

2. Speaking of time slippage, when Coop detaches and falls into the black hole, time would then change for him relative to Brand who escaped the black hole. That is, time would go much, much slower for Coop. In what would have seemed like a minute or two for him, decades, if not more, would pass fo...

Re: Interstellar Oscar Chances

That's two years in a row that Hoytema was robbed. Her was certainly one of the most gorgeous films last year. I know it's Roger Deakins and all, but nothing about the cinematography in Unbroken was particularly impressive to me. I haven't seen Ida or Mr. Turner so I can't say. Anyway, what a load o...

Re: DVD/BLU RAY RELEASE

I liked the shifted aspect ratio for TDKR. Most of my friends I watch it with don't notice the changes.

Anyway, I'm stoked for this. Just wish I could see it in Imax a couple more times. :(

Re: New Nolan Film in 2016?

aight here we go. I don't expect Sherlock. Guy Richtie's films made a lot of money and were pretty recent. Ian McKellen is in one coming out this year right? And the BBC series with Cumberbatch is ridiculously popular. Sherlock is a bit saturated and almost cliche at this point. Bond. Mendes has ano...

Re: New Nolan Film in 2016?

can't envision Nolan saying fuck :x I was thinking the same thing. Doesn't seem like something Nolan would say at all. Seems more like Tarantino than him. I mean he's british. I don't have difficulty picturing anyone who is british saying it. Let's not forget his first three films had multiple uses...
