Re: TENET - General Information

I think Nolan is attentive to some of the criticisms of his works so he just ditched any possible audience insertion and tried to be minimalist to advance action/information. I think this gives Tenet a unique palate, i really enjoyed this aspect on re-watch as I was more comfortable with everything ...

Re: TENET - General Information

I've finally rewatched this (first time since theater release). The pace and editing of it is pretty crazy, it just strides and hopes the audience catches up with the rhythm. I found it surprisingly virtuoso. The protagonist/antagonist are still the movie weakest link. You put a great actor instead ...

Re: Dune: The Sisterhood

This isn't based on Frank Herbert novel at all, it's preposterous to say it. This is based on Brian Herbert trash whose life was devoted to tarnish his father legacy.

Re: A Universal Franchise in Nolan's Future?

Only franchise I would have loved to see Nolan do was Dune saga. He's one of the few directors that could eventually adapt the story without too much backlash but we already got that milquetoast adaptation by Dennis, so I would rather he sticks to originals and stays away from franchises (namely uni...

Re: Better Call Saul (TV)

I disagree that it's garbage. Its just that all this cartel bullshit has always been the weakest part of BCS. Its just trite. Its like they don't trust their own material.

Even so, I think these two episodes clearly reinforce the idea that
Kim is Saul Goodman's enabler.

Kudos that they didn't put this monstrosity on the film lol. Besides being so derivative, that was a bit of an awkard take of the character.

Re: The Batman (2022)

Im surprised how much I didn't like it. It's a boring adaptation of the character, and I don't even think it nails that urban gritty Batman some fans have wanted for so long.

The Ave Maria choice...ugh. From Elfman, James N. Howard and Zimmer to what we got here, it's harsh.

Re: Other filmmakers on Christopher Nolan

Villeneuve went on to say, “Just think of the golden age of Hollywood to see that commercial films can make a different artistic proposal and, therefore, political. I have never felt like a loss or an impediment to have a generous budget to do what I wanted to do. Upside down. Who said that a movie...

Re: Untitled Oppenheimer Project - General Information

This could also be a Prestige-like film. A more grounded setting with real-life characters with a unique sci-fi spin. The atomic bomb gives so much latitude to play around with too.

Re: Untitled Oppenheimer Project - General Information

Since Interstellar I haven't been this excited over a Nolan announcement.
