Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation
I'm not sure how to respond to all this winning. I'm not used to it! I've been watching Nolan films lose awards for 20 years...what...what do we do now? :gonf: It's surprising, but awesome to watch it happen. Hopefully we see another good showing with the Producers Guild on Sunday!

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation
Huge night for Cillian, RDJ, and the Oppy film in general. With SAG giving this type of support to Oppy, I am wondering if it might win Adapted Screenplay at the Oscars. SAG has the biggest voting branch in the Academy.

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation
With no noms for Director or Lead Actress, it's clear Barbie is unfortunately out of the race for Best Picture, but Oppenheimer winning would harken back to better times of Titanic, Gladiator, Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, Silence of the Lambs, Forrest Gump when huge hits were awards worthy and mo...

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation
Don't mind redfirebird2008. He is not a serious person. His whole stick is about downplaying every single thing Nolan does. His awards and box office predictions are not to be taken seriously. Ridiculous comment, no need for personal attacks. I'm a huge fan of Nolan. But I am not aggressive with pr...

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation
Watching football, but good to check in and see Oppenheimer doing well again. Always figured that Giamatti is going to be a problem for Murphy, thought. Paul may have the edge on Cillian with the overdue narrative for his entire body of work. They’re both overdue. But Giamatti is 9 years older and ...

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation
Emma’s speech for Best Picture was pretty rough. Hopefully it doesn’t hurt the movie’s chances for other awards. I was thinking the same thing :? They have to let Nolan do the film speeches from here out, or just do them together side by side. What are you talking about? She Is amazing and deserve ...

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation
I haven't seen "The Holdovers", but Cillian not winning was a bit :( Holdovers is very good. Giamatti is great, as usual. I don’t think Cillian will be able to get the Oscar. I’m glad Oppenheimer won in a lot of categories including Best Director & Best Picture. Emma’s speech for Best Picture was p...
