Re: Glaring plot hole?
First, know this: this is Nolan's dream world, and so they go by his rules and imagination. Nothing is a plot hole unless there is a rule specifically stated that cannot ever be broken, no exceptions. And this has been answered several times already in these forums, but I'll offer my own opinion. Se...

Re: VIDEO: In Depth SPOILER-HEAVY Discussion (At The Movies)
This video discussion is much better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=276jminUMmI I disagree with their analysis of the ending - I think it's obviously ambiguous and that it doesn't matter. The point is, he got home, and whether home is real or not real is incidental. "I think I found a way home , an...

Re: My Explanation [Dont Enter, if You havent seen film]
Nolan wants the viewer to accept that Cobb has returned to reality...but he doesn't want the viewer to be 100% certain. Why? He wants the viewer to question and ponder his own life. Are we dreaming? Are we stuck in a dream? Had Nolan made us 100% of the ending we wouldnt need to ask these questions...

Re: SO WHO CAME OUT SLIGHTLY DISAPPOINTED?
I was slightly disappointed. I loved the film, want to and have to see it again, but just ever so slightly disappointed. It didn't have a big emotional impact on me as did Memento, Dark Knight, and Prestige. Those films were masterpieces with climaxes that encapsulated the entire point of the film, ...

Re: Nolan's ultimate inception on all of us!
I need to see it again to form my own interpretation, but this whole interpretation seems a bit of a stretch. Nolan definitely uses a maze to confuse his audience, up until the end of the film. The climax of Memento explains the truth about Lenny and Sammy, and you know to trust that Teddy (John Gam...

Re: Possible Sequel???
I think there should be a prequel called Extraction. There is a lot you could do with that, and it would make a fabulous thriller.

Re: it was all a dream theres NO DOUBT ABOUT IT
The Last Scene: 1)at first the top wobbled, then the movie cut to Cobb reuniting with his kid, then it goes back to the top which keeps spinning without stopping 2)the kids are wearing the same exact clothes that they have been wearing throughout the movie 3)the kids are doing the same exact thing ...

Re: Inception Math
Like I said elsewhere, this introduces a possible plot hole, or inconsistency: The van falling into the water would last about a second, but Arthur took at least 30 minutes to round up the team and kick-them out while in zero G (not 20 seconds) Did you see how tall that bridge was from the water? I...

Re: My Review: 2nd Time's A Charm
That's good to hear, because the first time I saw Memento was just a couple of years ago. I was torn by it, I wanted to like it, but it was rather confusing. That breaks my heart. I wish you would see it with me, because Memento is one of my favorite films of all time. I love watching and explainin...

Re: For Those Who Have Questions
Haha, I was hoping to read this thread and get some closure. I left with more questions. I must see it again.
