Re: X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
Did Erik and Charles feel pushed off to the side? How was McPhee as Kurt? As individuals, Xavier gets a solid amount of screen time. For Magneto though, it's more of an ensemble performance and even the individual character scenes with Fassbender seem condensed. Together, it's the same song and dan...

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
So, stinker confirmed? :eh: It'll definitely excite the general audience with its action and set pieces. I'm not so sure how the fanbases will respond though. It's not a hate it or love it type of feature like BvS was, more along the lines of 'it was alright to moderately good'. I think this is whe...

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
Was Kinberg;s DOFP script a fluke for him? His resume otherwise is pretty atrocious... He had the benefit of Vaughn and Jane Goldman (of First Class) to construct the story with him. The dialogue though was all Kinberg's. This one he had the help of the 'Singer trio' (with Michael Dougherty and Dan...

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
Funny, because there's a joke/slight intended for the Ratner movie in this one... but it falls flat considering how this one turned out. Do you mind spoiling it for me? Some of the X-men sneak out to go watch Return of the Jedi and make the comment along the line of 'the third one is always t...

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
There was no post credits footage of any kind at our screening, but the same thing happened for Civil War. I kmagine there would be one come the general release.the_red_ninja wrote:Any mention of a post credit scene? Just a yes or no will suffice.

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
How was Sophie Turner and Oscar Isaac? Turner was average. Not a bad actress, just didn't have much to play on. I can't judge her on this movie alone, I'll have to see her in a more prominent role in the next one to have a better feel for her character. Isaac is wasted. They got one of the best act...

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
So.. I guess I'm a little late to the reaction party today. I did see the film and will happily answer any questions (even spoilers, and yes I will tag spoilers as such) you may have about the film. Fox surprisingly lifted the embargo pretty early and unlike other studios didn't give the standard fo...

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) DEUX YOU BLEED
As a fan of these characters I would love for it to have been a financial and critical success (from a fan's perspective) but I can't help but be slightly giddy reading the same people who continuously bashed TDK trilogy from Nolan to Bale as being "inferior" and ganged up on anyone who opposed the ...
