Re: Thread For Terrible Movie News

Why did they show me something in Black Adam if I can't have it? Nobody asked to watch a Young Superman film. Warner discovery deserves to be fifty-eight million dollars in debt fans wanted man of steel 2, but none of us want to watch James Gunn's superman. He's living in the past instead of moving...

Re: The End of Trumpocalypse: TBD!

The Jan. 6 Committee issued mere recommendations...the DOJ and Merrick Garland still need to act on those and I have my doubts that they will.

Re: Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023)

Meh, Spider-Man used to be a struggling working class hero with something to say.

Modern versions of Spider-Man in various films have turned him into either Iron-kid who beats up disgruntled exmployees or someone who jumps across dimensions. Neither of these are especially relatable imo.

Re: Westworld (TV)

So it seems that 'Westworld' and 'The Nevers' will not even be on HBO's streaming service anymore: https://deadline.com/2022/12/westworld-the-nevers-pulled-hbo-max-canceled-1235197233/ Anyway, the current leadership of WB should all be fired. Spend your money elsewhere and, most importantly, if you ...

Re: Sight and sounds top 100

You clearly have reading comprehension issues. When I said some movies benefit from consensus you wrote back about this list having a broader consensus than ever before, which actually makes the problem worse not better. If we are talking about broader consenus we should look at imdb list where Nol...

Re: Biden of America: The Return of the Democracy

Cool, the Dems won an incredibly close run-off election against a man who said he was running for the House when he was actually running for the Senate...This does not reverse the increasing radicalisation of the Republicans. The Dems gain 1 seat in the Senate. A legislative gridlock is still assure...

Re: Sight and sounds top 100

The top movies on imdb have been stable for long time and more or less uneffected by review bombing. You see pulp fiction on imdb list. The dark knight. Shawshank Redemption. I watched Spirited Away this Sunday with a bias against animation medium and it was one of the best I have ever watched. Thi...

Re: Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)

Such comments can tank its box office in the western world. If it means assholes stay away and by doing so ensure a better moviegoing experience for everyone else then I don't see where the problem is. I don't care about a film's box office performance. The more pathetic right-wing snowflakes cry a...

Re: Sight and sounds top 100

Impressive knowledge but there is utter neglect and absolute favoritism going on in the backdrop. Some movies have made it to list by being utterly brilliant while others were supported by nostalgia, gratitude, prestige and their perceived importance to cinema. Furthermore, some movies greatly bene...
