Desplat will win score.
It would be funny if he does win. First Interstellar (still can't believe he lost for that score) and then Dunkirk.

Re: Bond 25 (2019)

Bring on a black female transgender Bond, I'm down I think they should keep Bond as it is but they should start a Bond like franchise with a black queer Woman. That would be interesting. Kinda off topic - as much as I loved BR2049 - I think it would've been interesting if K was a black bisexual wom...

Re: 2017-2018 Awards Season

I don't know if it would've helped or not. I'm not bothered that it didn't get a nomination. I think it's a compliment because everything looked like it was 100% practical - it's would've been cool for the VFX team to be recognized though. You realize the VFX category is for practical effects as mu...

Re: Dunkirk Awards Season Discussion Thread

Again, a sequel has never won that award. I mean, it could win but realistically I think it's between Dunkirk and The Shape of Water. They prefer to honor "original" films. Maybe they'll make an exception. Deakins' work is just stunning. BR2049 is one of the most beautiful looking films ever. If it...

Re: 2017-2018 Awards Season

I'm happy for Rachel Morrison. I remember her from a panel she did with Nolan at Sundance. So do I. Haven't seen Mudbound but from the clips I've seen, it looks absolutely gorgeous. BTW, I can't believe that it took Nolan so freaking long to get his first nomination, while Greta Gerwing got one for...

Re: Dunkirk Awards Season Discussion Thread

I'm so pleased this got so many nominations unlike Interstellar. Realistically, I think it will win 3 awards: Sound Editing Sound Mixing Film Editing Production Design and Cinematography might probably go to BR2049. Best Score - who knows what mediocre score they're going to choose over Zimmer's sco...

Re: 2017-2018 Awards Season

^OH YES! No VFX nom for Dunkirk. Got beat out by two fellow stablemates (Kong: Skull Island and Blade Runner 2049). I wonder if WB had moved up Kong: Skull Island to a 2016 release, or delayed Runner 2049 to a 2018 release, then would Dunkirk have made it? I don't know if it would've helped or not....

Re: 2017-2018 Awards Season

The Insult (Lebeanese film) got a nom which is cool.
Mystery Of Love got a nom - too bad I feel like This Is Me might snatch it.
