To the people who have seen it (it still hasn't opened in my country - I'm going this Friday as it opens, don't worry ):

Is it a hard R or was it possible to trim it with minor changes to a more reasonable PG-13 without largely compromising the finished product?

I thought he was better in the sequels actually. More emotional, more dramatic, more human. His best performance was in TDKR, especially in the prison scenes.
