Re: Trailer #2
The wind turbines in the trailer suggest to me that the film will have an environmental theme (not unfamiliar territory for Nolan). My best guess is that Branagh is a business tycoon secretly weaponizing time manipulation tech. I think his cover will be using the tech for an environmental project. R...

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation
Nolan seems to be almost going out of his way to attach audiences to JDW. “Time for a new protagonist.” “He’s very much the the hero.” And making JDW the only names actor in the trailers even though he’s not a name actor as of yet and there are far bigger stars in the cast. The infatuation with JDW ...

Re: What Actors Would You Like To See Nolan Work W/ Again?
Definitely Casey Affleck. He’s a phenomenal actor who Hollywood has no idea what to do with. I get the sense that he’s picky (and I don’t know if he’s hard up for work after getting MeToo’d, which is a whole other issue), but I think he would work with Nolan again in a heartbeat.

Re: What actors do you wish Nolan would work with in the future?
Adam Driver seems like a great fit to me, because he’s a prestige actor who has starred in films on a huge scale, just as Nolan is a Prestige filmmaker who works on a huge scale. I could see Nolan liking Marriage Story or Hungry Hearts and casting Adam the same way he cast Anne Hathaway after Rachel...

Re: Prologue
They gave me the Prologue at the Regal IMAX in Alhambra, CA. I was a little annoyed they didn't turn the lights down all the way, but it was EPIC. That score (especially in the sizzle reel) sounds absolutely killer. Worth sitting though TROS (which is basically just a big goof) with a cringe audienc...

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation
But doesn’t the prologue shows soldiers working for the government co-operating with the terrorists? Not sure. This is my best summary of what happens in the prologue: Terrorists come in, real SWATs come in, fake SWATs (JDW's team) sneak in with real SWATs. Real SWATs knock out citizens with gas, r...

Re: Tenet Official Images/Posters
I think this poster is a very good distillation of the marketing so far: the image is elegant, the concept within it is intriguing, but perhaps a little too obscure.
Re: Prologue
He doesn't. He watches it happen. The soldier that runs off controlled it. The quality is so low I couldn’t tell but still how can they control it? Rewinding a singular event through time and space without affecting the environment around them entirely. It’s targeted, I suppose. It will be very int...

Re: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
I think the sequel trilogy is an argument about storytelling between JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson. Johnson won. The Skywalkers were collateral damage. Very frustrating.
