What language did his character speak?

Loved the shot of Bane in the Gotham Stock Exchange when he's walking around with a menacing look and just observing everyone in the room. He kind of shakes his head like he's in agony but at the same time is enjoying it. The shot reminded me of the Joker at the end of the bank heist scene. Badass.
