Re: Box Office

It's good news that "The Marvels" is moving off its July 28th date to November. The bad news is bunch of tweets recently from film news sites about how amazing the reactions were to a test screening for Mission Impossible 7, which opens a week earlier to Oppenheimer. I don't think anyone's necessar...

Re: Box Office

It's official, THE MARVELS has been pushed back to November 10. So OPP will indeed have almost a month of IMAX exclusivity until Blue Beetle releases in August 18. The only thing I see it still potentially doing is sharing IMAX screens with MI: DR Part 1 for a week or so.

Re: Oppenheimer Prologue

I took lunar's HD version and synced the ENG audio of my recording to it then AI upscaled to 4K. The audio isn't totally clean, but I balanced it out as much as possible and the 4K has some choppy moments (only if you're looking hard enough). But to those people who PM'd me and I sent Dropbox links ...

Re: Box Office

I believe it will do between 500 million to 800 million. Why? Genuinely curious. Because I’m thinking between 300 and 400. Above 500M is a safe bet, I doubt 800M though, even Interstellar wasn't able to reach that. After several re-releases it's made 773M which is incredible though. The first, last...

Re: TV Spots

Not a WHOLE lot of new footage. I'd say two shots total are entirely new. The rest is footage that was in either the regular trailer or the IMAX exclusive one.

Re: Box Office

At the time there was not a single Hollywood tentpole any of those actors had ever carried to box office glory. Neither have they done it since. Hollywood is full of stars who aren't really stars. Before Dallas Buyer's Club Budget $5 million Box office $115.2 million After The Gentlemen Budget $22 ...

Re: Soundtrack: Göransson Returns

Then that means that the film is getting a conventional/traditional, melodic, orchestral score, or at the very least, that it will comprise a large chunk of it, which I'm very happy about, because honestly I'm not really a big fan of Mr. Nolan's unconventional experimental tendencies when it comes ...

Re: Box Office

To non-film peeps I know, anytime I bring up Barbie (male or female) they usually seem completely uninterested in it. Even if it's comedy/parody, they seem especially disinterested. Almost everything Margot Robbie has been in has flopped. And she is the only person reportedly safe at DC movies. I d...

Re: Box Office

I was kinda thinking Barbie would wipe the floor with Oppenheimer tbh but the Oppenheimer trailer already has more views on both Twitter/YouTube than the Barbie trailer did within <24 hours. Very surprising to me. Nolan's name alone has some strong power that continues to surprise me. Maybe my memo...
