Re: Tenet NFometer
I think movies can be a lot of things, that's the fun of them. I've only watched it twice, but I think it's all there from the beginning. The basics of the plot are understandable on a first watch, it's just that at one point the story dials up to 11 and it doesn't stop. It moves at such a brisk pac...

Re: Tenet NFometer
Frankly amazed at the reactions here. Really hope I am among you. This is what a friend said who saw it tonight at the IMAX I'm going to on Thursday: "I have no idea what the characters were trying to do on a basic level, scene to scene. It's like a heist movie where they never explain what they're...

Re: Appearances of the Cast and Crew
Kevin McCarthy does the best Nolan interviews, he's probably a bigger fan than all of us combined. And that tattoo!

Re: Ludwig Göransson will compose Tenet
Listening to the score with headphones right now and it's wild . It's up there with Nolan's best film soundtracks imo, makes me hopeful for some more collaborations between him and Ludwig. And I say that loving what Hans did before, with the OST's for Interstellar and Inception still remaining my fa...

Box Office: Christopher Nolan’s ‘Tenet’ Enjoys Surprisingly Strong Debut Overseas https://variety.com/2020/film/box-office/tenet-box-office-international-christopher-nolan-1234753966/ $53M is a good result, better than I anticipated. I remember Dunkirk getting similar numbers for its international ...

Re: Tenet User Reviews/Reactions [Possible SPOILERS]
Just got home from my second watch and man does this get better on multiple views. I still didn't fully get some parts, particularly in the third act, but because I knew the story beats beforehand, that allowed me to focus more on the inversion mechanics and they now make more sense to me. I still w...

Re: Tenet User Reviews/Reactions [Possible SPOILERS]
Cosigned. Knowing they did this with practical effects, it's nuts. There's a 747 crushing multiple cars, running over them, and slamming into a building. I was absolutely giddy during that sequence. It's in conjunction with what immediately comes next that makes the whole segment my favorite, it oo...

Re: [SPOILER] Discussion/Speculation Thread
You know what would have gave the film more emotional weight at the end?.. A flash forward/back (depending on how you look at it) of JDW and RP as best friends. Might have been a bit on the nose but sometimes that's what you need to drive an emotional note home I somewhat agree, but not necessarily...

My favourite line would be Debicki's "I wish I was that woman". It's already beautiful when she says it, but at the end, when we see the jump again, it brought tears to my eyes. I had forgotten about that, that's actually brilliant. I just know this film will get better and better with each viewing.
