Re: Dunkirk Awards Season Discussion Thread

Must have kind of suck to go to all those awards shows and lose them all, but hey that's part of the job. Hopefully one day he gets the recognition he deserves.

Re: Nolan's Next Film

It's also sounds a little bit weird to me, especially as it's apparently not written by him Memento is based on a short story of his brother. Prestige is adapted from a book Interstellar was also a script he rewrote. Why are you sure is next film is written exclusively by him or its an original ide...

Re: Nolan's Next Film

Its definitely that blog thing

That blog also wrote before that warner wanted to give him free reigns (with a shitload of money) to control the whole comic book stuff of the studio (and divide it into two. An adult and kid-oriented).

Re: Dunkirk Awards Season Discussion Thread

How easy Nolan could have sweep this award season if GDT didn't release last year. Shape of Water is one of GDT dullest movies. Like many other times, there are films which simply gain traction during this award season (for a variety of reasons). Looking at his award rivals, none are extraordinary ...

I love rumors.

This doesn't at all - in any way - sound like something a prudish family man like Nolan would want to make though.
The whole porn could be the background of the story. It actually sounds like a cool story :D

Re: Dunkirk Awards Season Discussion Thread

Its just awards. It's cool if he has recognition, but I would have preferred if he had gotten recognition over other films of his filmography than Dunkirk. I'm just excited for whatever he is doing next. I think his weight in the industry will probably make him a very big candidate for Best Director...

Re: Box Office

Looks like it's not going to beat Interstellar's box office without some kind of rerelease I think in US they go to some cheap theaters for a while but the numbers are not reported. If they end up updating it (notice how they stopped Interstellar and it got almost one million dollars spike after th...

Re: The Irishman (2019)

Just because it's a Netflix production, it doesn't mean it cannot be released in theatres. In fact, if it wants to be considered for the Oscars, it HAS TO be released in cinemas, at least in a limited capacity. Yes, I know this. I’m just saying that it’s an unprecedented move for Netflix, and we do...

Re: Blade Runner 2049 (2017)

Nice find. So he ran and after a while came back? Seems way too risky. The way Joe ends up finding him is one of those things I found clunky as hell. I thought that Rachael and Ana ran while Deckard stayed there. It was his job to stay where he was and know nothing (which I figured at that time the...
