Re: Suicide Squad (2016)

I'm actually pro a title change. I get what the title means, but the idea of a jovial-ish comic-book movie even referencing a pretty fucked up concept is a bit dodgy. Not really. You're not really offended, I can assure you. haha  Well I guess so. There's still no way studios are keeping this...

Re: Transcendence - NF Reviews/Reactions

:? To think I was keen for this movie. What a piece of trash. I blame it all on Jack Paglan's script. (No prior credits? It must be a pseudonym. If not, he's doomed) He treats the concept of science and technology like magic, in which things happen if you will it to happen. It's interesting that Nol...

Re: Whiplash (2014)

Man, that final shot is still haunting me Still not sure who won in the end Both win. I mean, from a musical point of view they certainly did, but both of their dodgy methods of reaching their top has just gratified them. It's justified what they've done, and they're going to continue in that way. ...

Re: What was the last movie you watched? V

Some Like It Hot (1959) http://timeentertainment.files.wordpress.com/2011/11/some-like-it-hot.jpg?w=480&h=320&crop=1 Screwball Comedy was a vague term that was used by critics that I sort of didn't understand. This film seems to epitomize exactly what I thought it meant. A few jokes early on relied...

Re: Whiplash (2014)

What a film! Where to start? I'm willing to say J.K Simmons plays the most psychotic, manipulative man I've seen on film, probably ever. So much so that I'd say this is a straight-out thriller. It bizarrely even follows the structural tropes of a horror film! A lot of debate surrounds whether...
