Re: Killers of the Flower Moon (2021)

I’m not here to get into argument about RoS and who is to “blame”, just getting tired of the cheap shots when I’ve done work to be better even if you massively disagree what I say. I think they deserve blame IF they deliver a movie they did not agree upon without question. Maybe that was the case wi...

Re: Killers of the Flower Moon (2021)

The truth is of course there is some shared responsibility. Even directors with final cut talk about their obligations to their studio partners. I think your scenario is ideal, Allstar — but its seems disconnected from the reality of the industry. Thanks for responding in disagreement without tryin...

Re: Killers of the Flower Moon (2021)

No, it’s my opinion and seems quite logical so please explain what’s wrong about it instead of saying it’s not true and that’s it. And please, you shouldn’t talk about getting defensive over idols, the mental gymnastics you did to excuse JJ of blame for RoS...I’m sick of you trying to belittle me, w...

Re: Killers of the Flower Moon (2021)

I love Scorsese but I do think his budgets are out of control for the types of movies he makes. He does have some responsibility to his employers to turn a profit. No. Why not? He should be able to film his movies at a budget that allows the companies producing them to at least have a chance to mak...

Re: Killers of the Flower Moon (2021)

Interesting to see that -Scorsese rewrote himself the script... it's only the sixth time in his career (Mean Streets, Goodfellas, Age of Innocence, Casino, Silence) -That his rewrite was considered less conventional/interesting for Paramount Here is what he said a couple of months ago Scorsese said...

Re: Last Film You Watched? VI

The Peanut Butter Falcon- Shiathon 2020: delightful. Shia is a terrific actor and this movie really warmed my heart. Both of his performances really moved me. Playing his dad was particularly impressive however.

I’ve already watched this more than I watched Hateful Eight and Django combined (and I love those movies!). It’s become my favorite Tarantino I can safely say.

Re: Killers of the Flower Moon (2021)

lol, this is a perfect scenario of getting the best of both worlds (paramount theatrical distribution, Apple budget/full creative freedom), anyone who complains about this is insane. This is great news. The idea of De Niro and DiCaprio is so enticing. -Vader In a Scorsese film, very much. I do think...
