Vals im Bashir is a very shocking movie, and Miyazaki is just so beautifully imaginative.
My favorites: Spirited away and Howl's moving castle

Re: AVATAR- What did you think?

deep emotionally....the characters speak how they feel, so yeah, their words are pretty much a representation of what they are feeling>thinking Good dialogue shouldn't tell you how the characters are feeling all the time. In fact, that is the very definition of poor writing. I hope Avatar's dialogu...

Guy Pearce for the Riddler.

No Johnny Depp or Brad Pitt. Those two guys are overrated.

Re: First movie you'll watch in 2010

I'll probably watch Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps tonight. I got a Hitchcock collection box for Christmas, with 10 movies (though The 39 Steps is on it 3 times, one time the Hitchcock version, the others are remakes by other directors). I'm ashamed to say that I have never seen a Hitchcock movie ...

Does Children Of Men or In Bruges count? Those are British. For me too, almost every film is a foreing ...

Re: AVATAR- What did you think?

Movie of the decade? hahaha poor thing. It looks good but blows in storytelling and dialog - and that counts. The effects will age in time, the story won't. There is a reason why people go back watching The Godfather.. Avatar is like Backstreet Boys - extremely popular when they (it) came out, but ...

Re: AVATAR- What did you think?

imo, not all characters were black and white the two antagonists were... stephen lang, and giovanni ribisi were very twisted. sam worthington, zoe seldana, and the rest of the main na'vi characters weren't black and white. I think this movie was deeper than dark knight. Dark Knight was more of a mag...

Re: AVATAR- What did you think?

Ok, finally I went to see Avatar yesterday in Imax 3D (by the way, no headache occured), and I think some of you will gonna hate me but it's my opinion. The movie is visually stunning and...nothing else. Is kind of boring and so predictable. The whole visual thing is not enought for me. I saw this s...
