Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)

Not a great trailer. Maybe it's the lack of effects shots, but even beyond that the visuals just seem so unremarkable.

Law, what was your theater's reaction? At CIFF, it received as sincere an applause as I've ever heard following a film, and when coursing out of the theater there was a unified buzz that we all experienced something special. I really hope that feeling is captured to cinemagoers. -Vader I saw it at ...

Re: Gone Girl (2014)

Reading a comment there Do you mean 50 takes a shot or a scene? Because 50 takes a scene could be no big deal, especially if the scene is more than a few script pages long. Kubrick used to take 50 or more takes a shot, also known as a camera setup, and it drove people crazy. That's why Harvey Keite...

Re: Exodus (2014)

Always makes me laugh when people say that Ridley has lost his touch with film. What? I'm a huge Prometheus fan, but even those who don't like it, can you at least acknowledge that there are moments in this movie of pure greatness, that opening with the Engineer is one of the best things in sci-fi....

Re: What was the last movie you watched? V

Another thing going against it, is that NONE of the characters are likeable. I don't think it was in anyone's desire to make these characters likeable because they weren't likeable in real life anyway. I honestly don't want from a movie like this to have these likeable characters because it would d...
