Maybe if enough people email the CEO of Cineworld we can change it? I doubt it, but he claims to be a cinefile and cares about theatrical presentation lol

Re: Which IMAX Theaters Are You Going To See TENET? [Lists in the 1st POST]

From David Keighley CQO of IMAX "Unfortunately there are no plans for 70MM IMAX at this location. The single laser projector is very good, yes capable of only 1.90 but probably, the sharpest projector there is at 80 feet wide. Tenet IMAX shoots, were derived from an IMAX film negative which has a re...

Re: Which IMAX Theaters Are You Going To See TENET? [Lists in the 1st POST]

Just emailed the CQO of IMAX regarding the Irvine situation, I'm hearing from a source that due to COVID only a limited amount of film prints were made, and the Irvine print was shipped to another location. Not sure if it's WB's fault or Regal being cheap. About to email the CEO of Cineworld/Regal. ...

Several Reddit users are reporting that Irvine Spectrum is single laser maxed at 1.90, and that there was some sort of color flicker going on tonight that they need to fix.

It's being reported on the Facebook group that Irvin Spectrum IMAX is actually Dual Laser! Not sure about it though. LF Examiner has false information for so many theaters.

Irvine has single laser. They will project it letterboxed at 1.90, same as the xneon system. At least contrast, color, and brightness are better in laser than Xneon. I agree, very frustrating.
Single IMAX laser won't fill the entire screen?

Re: Which IMAX Theaters Are You Going To See TENET? [Lists in the 1st POST]

Anyone been to Regal Edwards Spectrum Irvine IMAX? Are they getting a IMAX 70mm print? I think they did with Dunkirk. Anyone know when they will open? Well, Cinepolis in Orange County is opening this Friday, so possibly this weekend I would assume. Hopefully they still have the IMAX 70mm projector.
