Re: Nolanhack's Next Flick

I think a psychological thriller/horror would be nice! Two of the genres, that Nolan hasn't done yet, is historical epos and natural disaster. Some weeks ago it came to my mind that a film about the vulcanic eruption and destruction of Pompei would somehow combine both genres. If Chris was to...

Re: Nolanhack's Next Flick

I was always curious about Nolan's version of The Prisoner that's been kicking about for a good 15 years. The original is a complete mind fuck (and a great watch), it always felt what would happen if someone was allowed to make a Bond film with complete free reign and a ton of weird messed up imagi...

She's smart, more people are talking about Grace Randolph now than they were since her last hot take.

Re: 'Oppenheimer' Nolanfans User Reviews

Just watched it for the 2nd time, i couldn't really grasp my feelings on the first. It's a hell of a film, my only real criticism is the first 30 minutes to an hour felt very 'montage-y' it's one of Nolan's worst habits, and so much understanding of the emotional beats that are present throughout th...

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation

Long post warning! I am very confident (as confident as one can be this early on) that Oppenheimer has an excellent chance of getting a lot of academy love; enough to have it nominated for everything under the sun. It pretty much fulfils that perfect trifecta; of being a very academy friendly movie ...

Re: Trailer #1

Feel like this is gonna be a awards season favorite. It might be actually. One thing that always counts against Nolan with academy voters is that they lean largely towards ‘actor’s films’, whereas exceptional films that have a high level of technical mastery just get best picture and director noms ...

Re: Ludwig Göransson will compose Tenet

If that is in fact Chris Nolan breathing, he needs to quit smoking pronto. It’s really uncomfortable to listen to. It’s not hard to make that sound lol, it’s just a really creepy, airy inhale I know it’s a joke. Still pretty horrific to listen to especially in these times, perfect for a villainous ...

Re: Ludwig Göransson will compose Tenet

ah this one. was it in the film? I‘m not sure...i think it was a different version in the film Won’t see the film for the first time until later today, but Tars did say it plays during Eagle Mountain, so we all assumed it would be in Posterity but it’s nowhere to be found, I really wanted to hear t...
