Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

Lol I’m sure most studios are well aware they could make tons of money on VOD. ThTs never been the issue (nor has the piracy that would follow, that’s something they’ve dealt with for over 20 years). It’s the catastrophic consequences that would follow for the cinema industry if ever a major studio ...

Re: Tenet Official Images/Posters

Also let’s not kid ourselves, the reason it looks like it’s for an Hollywood action blockbuster, is because it’s *gasp* an Hollywood action blockbuster?

Fancy that.

Re: Tenet Official Images/Posters

I think it’s fine. I learnt a long time ago to not bother looking for good posters for most blockbuster films, they are made very specifically to appeal to the average passerby, so you need to feature your main star in full view, there’s no room anymore for artistic posters or posters that you can’t...

Re: Trailer #3

I hope theres not some silly twist with Debeckis son, because everything im seeing suggests a standard 'woman who works and is romantically involved with a dangerous person, but has a son and she is actually not a bad person herself', the son or child in this case is usually a plot device so the pro...

Re: Trailer #3

Interesting that the 3 films listed were TDK Trilogy, Inception, and Dunkirk. But no Interstellar. I would have either listed all 4, or switched out Dunkirk for Interstellar At this point you’d be able to list too many movies, I think it’s because Dunkirk was much better received overall than inter...

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

Drove by movie theater tonight on my way to pick up some dinner. It was very crowded! Looks like people are itching to get out! :gonf: This goes against my theory that people will be tired of movies post-quarantine. Where are you located? Because it’s a theory with little to no merit and shows a co...

For the youngsters, this guys ran a site called Aint It Cool News in the late 90's/early 00's that was the premiere site for insider movie news and reviews. Harry Knowles is grea...

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

These movie theater chains wouldn't tweet about Tenet if there was heavy discussion of delaying at WB, right? I highly doubt they would. Even if they decide to open theatres by July, it needs attleast a month or two for people to start going to movies. If theatres are open by July, August end or Se...

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

We're exactly 3 months out today from it's hypothetical release date. If the film gets delayed, then it can't be long until that happens. :( Who would've thought TENET and Nolan would be in every single article about literally saving cinema these days. What a weird time to be alive. Hopefully TENET...

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

Even if this thing ends sooner than later, it will take time for people to recover and go back to their normal lives. It's not like "oh the virus is gone and we are bored as shit, let's go watch Tenet!" No, people will still be hesitant. On top of that, millions of people have lost jobs, and the la...
