Re: Box Office

They should definitely re-release Interstellar. That film gained a crazy cult amongst younger generations.

Dennis knows how to make them. He lacks that Nolan novelty (well to be fair his combat scenes are as boring as Chris) but his films have that gravitas and unique distinctiveness qualities that make people love cinema.

It's a super enjoyable film.
It's a bloody awful Dune adaptation tho.

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation

It should break the record tbh. Only oscar it doesn't deserve is best secondary actress.
Not that it's the greatest film ever (its not even one of Nolan's best) but its a really good film that has, virtually, no competition.

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation

Should win 12 and break the record (Best Supporting Actress, no way any Oppy actress even deserves a nomination). Probably won't because of pity awards for the gabagool that is competition.

We are truly living the dark age of cinema where absolute garbage is competing for major awards.

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation

There is, literally, no competition. If it doesn't sweep its because of reasons . Its a lightning in a bolt situation, not only it is good, other films are absurdly weak. Artistically, its the film of the year. Probably the only thing we will remember in the next 30 years of the last 5-10 years of m...

Re: Nolanhack's Next Flick

Interstellar sequel. Yes, very unoriginal, but its a setting where you can almost magically do anything. And it has gained such a wild popularity amongst a younger crowd, it would be an even bigger success.

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation

Last year Everything Everywhere did a clean sweep and it opened in March. And we all know why it won anything. Everything Everywhere is the sort of film we find at a supermarket bargain bin, maybe taped with another random movie. Adam Sandler's Click would be my suggestion. But we've entered the ti...

Re: Oppenheimer - Awards Speculation

Well, I have a feeling it will be completely snubbed at Oscar night. I am quite worried too lol KOTFM seems to be doing a little better with the critics. My friend, where have you been? Have you not noticed what the world has been going through? Oppenheimer, the film, is white. Too white. Its about...
