Re: The Devil All The Time (2020)

Didnt care for this. Seems really disjointed and messy. Bad narration as well. Performances are fine with Pattinson being the stand out.

I thought the scene with Kat and the Protagonist at dinner was very emotional. It's actually one of my favorite moments, and it's definitely my favorite track from the score.
Agreed. This scene is great. Debecki sells it.

Looking forward to this. The Rider is a beautiful film for those who haven't checked it out.

Re: Ludwig Göransson will compose Tenet

Wish he would of held the end of the Protagonist longer. I believe it's the last scene of the film if I remember correctly. Builds so nicely and the last 20 secs are amazing.

Re: Tenet NFometer

Second time everything just falls into place. I may be in the minority but I really feel the films emotional pull with Debeckis arch and the relationship with Neil and the protagonist. Wasnt huge on Ludwigs music but after playing the soundtrack while driving this week it really is great. Betrayal i...

Re: ⊃∪∩⪽ (2020)

It's more like Game of Thrones in space than Blade Runner. -Vader This is what I am hoping for. Really dug Frasers work in ZD30 and hope he brings a unique and cold look to this. The trailer was quite flat like you mentioned. Also I know I am in the minority on 2049. I wish I connected to it like o...

Re: ⊃∪∩⪽ (2020)

what doesn't work for you with 2049 Durden ^ -Vader Just feels cold. Style over substance. Almost formulaic with the revolution bits. I don't dislike it by any means. I watch it and the world building is amazing with some of Deakins best work then I leave the theater and its out of my mind. Seen it...

I stand with solo: https://twitter.com/DuneNews/status/1304095314836684801?s=19 My favorite shot of the trailer. Most looking forward to her performance. Was underwhlemed with the trailer if I am honest. I also am coming off of seeing 2049 last week in theaters and have to say I am not huge on it. ...

Re: [SPOILER] Discussion/Speculation Thread

i keep seeing that theory, and while i love the concept i see no reason why nolan would leave such a dramatically and thematically infused story idea as guesswork for the audience. but then, that goes for the entire movie imo. -Vader I watched this with 4 other people and I was the only one in the ...

Re: I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020)

I was uncomfortable for just about all of its 2 hour plus runtime and thought it was great. kaufmans direction is beautiful. Buckley is the real deal.
