Re: Your Favorite Directors

Vader's top 10 directors on another thread inspired me to do my own. 3 to 10 is kinda always moving depending on their latest pictures. Top two is rock solid 1-David Lynch 2-Coen Brothers 3-Bong Joon-Ho 4-Paul Thomas Anderson 5-Martin Scorsese 6-Alfonso Cuaron 7-Leos Carax 8-Quentin Tarantino 9-Deni...

Re: FX's Devs

Just binged it and I have mixed feelings about it Garland is just an amazing director. Some sequences in this were absolutely unforgettable sci-fi imagery. Cinematography, production design and score were all extraordinary. The actual plot was underwhelming and the acting choices were definitely not...

What's wrong with that? Sounds like a good idea to me.

Re: Thor: Love & Thunder (2021)

I know directors have minimal creative freedom in MCU films, but this interview with Taika is depressing to read. He's brutally honest about how he gets to decide stuff even if he writes the script There’s so much excitement about the Natalie Portman of it all in the next “Thor.” How closely are you...

Re: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2021)

I'd love to be wrong, I love Raimi as much as anyone

Re: Doctor Sleep (2019)

Finally saw this (the Director's cut) There's so much good and so much bad intertwined in this film. And much of the bad comes directly from the source material. The vampire stuff always felt from a completely different universe and is just really cheesy. Rebecca Ferguson nailed it in that perspecti...

Re: Untitled Knives Out Sequel (TBD)

Kelly Marie Tran seems like an obvious candidate

Someone proposed on Twitter a while ago (and Rian liked it) that the exact same cast comes back in different roles. This will never happen but it would be so bonkers 8-)

Re: Black Widow (2020)

Nice scoop there. I was honestly baffled by the trailer's boring-as-fuck cinematography (even by MCU standards) being a big fan of Rob Hardy's work. It looked nothing like his Garland or M:I films

Re: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

Trevorrow is a really bad storyteller so him seeing this through would still have been bad but Lucasfilm scrapping this for the JJ/Terrio story is completely nuts.
