I really hope Scorsese gets a chance to see it in 15/70 IMAX (AMC Lincoln Square) if he hasn't already since this interview was conducted.

I've also noticed that City Walk will be screening it in the IMAX GT laser projection format on August 17th.

You can see the Arriflex 435 Advanced being used to film those "visual effects" elements.

DNEG was involved in the VFX, which involved the compositing of photographed imagery. But no "computer generated imagery" was used on the movie.
