Re: Indiana Jones 5 (2022)

I just don't know where we suddenly decided that casting young actors as younger versions of older characters was no longer acceptable :( Well, at least we know that Nolan isn't going to indulge in this anytime soon. These movie moments where the de-aging is used are going to age so badly. In 10 ye...

Re: Indiana Jones 5 (2022)

I trust Mangold, I just don't trust deaging... if I see anything like this, I'm out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqGV0IuodWE&ab_channel=justWOWTV Fundamentally don't understand this gripe. For one thing, Ford is in phenomenal shape compared to any of the leads in The Irishman. Crystal Skull has...

Re: Reminiscence (2021)

While I agree with your Twitter take that Joy directed the (2nd) Best episode of Westworld (let's not fuck around "Kiksuya" is the best episode of that show, no contest). This trailer feels like off-brand Nolan, in seemingly a very similar way as "Transcendence". Also, as I mentioned before, the tr...

Re: Reminiscence (2021)

This looks less like Inception and more like the plot of Strange Days got grafted onto Dark City. Jackman looks like he is in overacting mode. I'll check it out, but that trailer didn't do much for me. The title is very....reminiscent of Transcendence...

Re: Last Night In Soho (2021)

I was pretty into this trailer until the horrible-looking CGI hand crashed through the floorboards. I'm mixed on Wright: Like the Cornetto Trilogy and Scott Pilgrim (with some reservations); but, I really disliked Baby Driver.

Re: Army of the Dead (2021)

So this was... a film. In that it had moving images, but honestly... it was just tiring. Apart from the premise that mercenaries are hired to take money out of the quarantined Vegas there were zero good ideas, or any ideas in this. I don't even think it was very bad, it was just a big clump of noth...

I love Matthew work in Interstellar. But... Cruise as Cooper was a chance.
Cruise doing everything he can to see his daughter would not be believable.

Re: Nolanhack's Next Flick

He switches the genre for each subsequent movie. I'm excited about whatever he is going to do. But I agree that I would more hyped if we found out he was doing something he hadn't done before. Nolan is quite specific in his interests so I don't see him doing a romantic comedy, supernatural horror f...
