Re: Ludwig Göransson will compose Tenet

Is this real? Very different for Nolan but then so were the Julyan scores. Even if it's fake I like it and those reverse-sounding bits are well made.

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

The only worry I have about this is that so much of a cinema's profits are its concessions (though like many people, as far as the cinema experience is concerned, I'll be glad for the absence of rustling and chewing during dramatic moments). I hope they allow people to buy things on their way out in...

Re: Which IMAX Theaters Are You Going?

Still hoping for the BFI IMAX in Waterloo but no opening date yet. Hopefully now masks are becoming mandatory in venues from August 8th they'll feel a little more confident sharing plans.

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

The Big Yellow One has just announced face masks to become mandatory by law in various venues including cinemas here in the UK, from the 8th of August if the BBC updates are accurate. :D Great news! Where I live it's still only 5 cases per 100,000 after the latest increase in England.

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

It’s PVOD in 2020 for the US or pick a date in 2021 and cross their fingers. The two week shuffle is stifling the hype. 2021 I think is the least worst option. How are they gonna have a premiere in these conditions? How are they gonna do all the repetitive press tours and endless questions about Co...

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

I'm not sure if this has been discussed yet, but what if Chris decides to retire after all of this "over"? If cinema as we know it dies, I don't see Chris continuing to make films that most people will only watch from their couch or phones. I could see him "going down with the ship", per se. Not al...

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

Absolutely. They need to forget the idea of opening same day round the globe or we'll be waiting 2-3 years for anything to release and cinemas can't survive that, our governments don't care enough about the arts to give proper financial support to remain closed the whole time. Release first in the c...

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

If theaters become staging grounds for the virus and cases get traced there, 2020 is DONE. I’m the biggest Nolan apologist around, but the wise move might be 2021. Totally sucks but this is a once in a century kind of event. What happens when the 2021 wave hits and we're still not much closer to a ...
