Re: 'Oppenheimer' Nolanfans User Reviews

9/10 If "The Prestige" and "The Social Network" had a great evening with a lot of cocaine that 9 months later led to a beautiful baby called "Oppenheimer". Man what a ride - definitely in my top 4 Nolan-Films. Like everyone else already said: Incredibly dense, fast paced, experimental, stellar perfo...

Re: Oppenheimer - Early Reactions

Based on the the recent early social media reactions, and the current movie landscape where critics are being extra harsh on IP content and extra positive on original IP and films without abundance of CGI, I think Oppenheimer will end up around 69-75 on Metacritic and 70-85% RT critic score with a ...

Re: Interviews - Cast and Crew

Who is Mr. "Everyone will go crazy" with the German accent from the "Opening Look" Trailer? Can't seem to find him in the cast list. Máté Haumann, a Hungarian actor playing Hungarian-born physicist Leó Szilárd. Makes sense now, thank you :) I was wondering because he looks a lot more like Bethe tha...

Re: Oppenheimer - IMAX locations and info thread

Hi everyone! :) I am really looking forward to Oppenheimer. But it is a shame that we only have 70mm in the UK and the Czech Republic here in Europe. I don't live near either of those and won't be able to make it there. Maybe in mid or end of August, if at all. Now a question for those experts here...

Re: Oppenheimer - Early Reactions

I sorta did, yes. But I won't spoil anything nor will I comment on anything before it officially releases. I still have tickets for four different formats and until I haven't watched it in all versions I won't judge it. Just enjoy it for yourself when it releases and don't assume anything from the ...

Re: Box Office

The biggest IMAX in Germany only shows MI7 for a week. Then OPPENHEIMER takes over exclusively for at least two weeks. That's pretty huge in my opinion. The IMAX is attached to a museum so it doesn't have to be extremely profitable I think. But on the other hand the other two (more commercial) IMAX ...

Re: Trailer #1

Is Einstein the “Rise” guy from TDKR? Brilliant. Yes he is - Tom Conti. He looks absolutely spot on but sadly the very distinct accent isn't there. Even after living for quite some years in the US, he still had a very heavy German accent (like a pre-school kid would speak in Germany today - of cour...

Re: Oppenheimer - General Information

I am pretty sure that the shot of the hat with the pipe and the shot of Oppenheimer adjusting his hat are the same shot just the start and the end of it. You can see that the camera pushes away in both shots. I would even go so far and say that this is the first shot of the movie with some voiceover...
