Re: 'Dunkirk' Nolan Fans Member Reviews (NFometer)

Yea that was what I felt after my first viewing.

If you're able/willing to, watch it a second time. You pick up on a lot of subtle things about the interwoven timelines that added to the cinematic experience.

Although after multiple viewings I also agree that Nolan was stretching it to the max.

Re: Dunkirk Timeline [SPOILERS]

No that final plane Farrier shot down was a Stuka, not a Messerschmitt like the one which tries to attack the Moonstone at the end. Ah yes come to think about it, you might be right. I can't remember if the distinctive Stuka dive could be heard, but from memory, the silhouette of the plane did rese...

Re: Dunkirk Timeline [SPOILERS]

Even after watching the movie twice now, the climax is still a bit confusing to me. First there's the plane that Farrier shoots over the oil, which causes the fire, and then as the Moonstone is leaving there's another plane, and then also the plane that Kenneth sees? Are they all the same plane? Or...

Re: Tom Glynn-Carney joins the cast of 'Dunkirk'

He was bloody fantastic in Dunkirk. With the acting chops and poise that I'd have guessed could only have come from a seasoned actor.

I actually rate his performance as the best of the whole ensemble, which is saying something because Rylance and Hardy were excellent as well.

Re: 'Dunkirk' Nolan Fans Member Reviews (NFometer)

Watched it for a third an final time today, in IMAX. Once again, picked up on new, fresh insights. Also ready to give my final score of 9/10 SPOILERS AHEAD Some interesting things I've gathered: - Tommy and Alex had very differing reactions after being saved on the Moonstone, and this I think highli...

Re: 'Dunkirk' Nolan Fans Member Reviews (NFometer)

got a question here. i'd be happy to see an straightforward answer. does movie contain all the scene and aerial shots we've seen in the trailers? especially the very first full trailer? No it does not. I'd say the most spectacular shots are not included in the trailer. I've never ever been a partic...

Re: How many times have you seen dunkirk?

Twice.

I rarely ever feel that any film is worth watching twice in the theatres, but I highly urge everyone to catch Dunkirk for a second time if possible.

Re: [SPOILERS] Thread

Not sure if anyone caught this specific moment, but right after Moonstone had survived the BF109 attack and had begun to sail home, Collins asked Mr Dawson how he had learnt his technique of evading the strafing run. (Can't remember the exact lines) Dawson replied something along the lines of how hi...
