Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

I'm sure Nolan will return to smaller films later in life as the opportunities for making these mega-budgeted movies, mostly with a blank check, become fewer. He's said so many times. -Vader Once in the game, one will only try to level up every time! Yeah, I mean look at Robert Pattinson.

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

However unlikely, sometimes studio heads strong-arm folks into deleting things until they can officially announce it for themselves, like a premature leak if you know what I mean.

I'm not saying this is the case here, I'm just saying there is more than one reason why a tweet is sometimes deleted.

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

His hooker tweeted that from his phone at the Holiday Inn Express without his knowledge.

https://mobile.twitter.com/mccrabb_will/status/1259171331850924032 Um, is this guy reliable? No, but he did stay at a Holiday Inn Express. I don't know, really. Just 22 hours ago he had a hunch that it wasn't going to happen this summer, so I don't know how to trace the source of his information. I...

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

^ Definitely. I wasn't going to see that movie in theaters regardless of COVID-19, and I love Pixar. Just didn't care for the look, the characters, etc. Saw it on Disney+ with a free trial, though. First half was mish-mash and second half was redeeming, but overall it's on the lower end of Pixar fil...

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

Don't take this as stubbornness, but if theaters are open for a Tenet release in July, my butt will be in a seat whether I'm the only one in the theater or it's at 100% capacity. I'll likely be masked up, though. If theaters aren't open at that hoped for time, then like everyone else I'll just have ...

Re: Tenet - Box Office Discussion/Speculation

I am still thinking it won’t come out. If it does I expect a low box office Debbie Downer Well, you have to consider that cinemas aren't just going to start letting people sit next to each other left and right, and there will probably be one less showtime per day with a lot of sanitation tactics be...

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

There are more important issues in the world right now but Tenet comes out 4 months, any talk of the movie being delayed is very premature. Well, yes and no. They have to consider promoting the film, which comes well in advance. Also any sort of touring they'll want to have scheduled beforehand, th...

Re: TENET - General Information/Discussion/Speculation

I don't think delaying is bad.. I just think delaying half a year or more is not the thing to do.. You slot it in for a certain time frame where you think you can make the most money. If this is a tentpole summer release film, they won't be releasing it in October. Much like how F&F9 is delayed unt...

Re: Dunkirk General Information/Discussion

Probably not the appropriate thread, but I'm not going to lie, if 1917 wins Best Picture I'm going to lose my shit. I'd be just as annoyed, but I don't see it happening. Fat chance it leapfrogs The Irishman, Parasite and Once Upon a Time. 1917 is an easy movie to slot into the nomination...
