Re: Inception (Junkie XL) Remix is out!
Junkie XL is a pretty big producer...dabbling predominantly in Breaks, Tech-House and Progressive these days...more of a "commercial" name similar to Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, etc...

Re: This is My Problem With Saito's Kicks
I'm sorry that should say "I noticed that the SECOND" time I watched it. Wasn't trying to sound like a jerk. Right, I think we're supposed to follow Ariadne out of the dreamworld in that scene since we follow her into it through the whole movie. However, I think it also shows that the time for a ki...

Re: This is My Problem With Saito's Kicks
Although there is a significant gap between when Ariadne comes back to the Level 3 dream state versus when it is finally blown so obviously that leaves some inconsistency in the movie (which is OK, this movie rocks anyways). You need to watch this scene more carefully next time. Eames (and Fischer ...

Re: This is My Problem With Saito's Kicks
No, Leo turns to her in that scene and says "this is the kick--take it." They know that Eames is blowing up the support because of the buildings collapsing. To take the kick you have to accept it, which is why she jumps. It's a pull-push thing as someone on here has explained really well. I don't b...

Re: This is My Problem With Saito's Kicks
You've got it backwards- the kick comes from 'above'. If you are asleep on your couch, you don't dream you are falling and then wake up...you are falling off the couch and get the sensation you are falling and therefore wake up. That is why I have issues with the Level 4 kicks because, while Fische...
Re: The Kick
I like this theory! Having a regular "Kick" and a "Death Kick" better explains what has been framed in the movie...rather than the the notion of a "push kick" that some are assuming without any movie explanation. I essentially agree with this and tried to go into more detail as to what is actually o...

Re: Why some people laughed ... ?
Comic relief! When the van is dropping, that whole section of the movie is so tense...no wonder people were laughing.

Re: The Hero's Journey/Jung
Man, that's a great insight! And I think that's why the film works so well, because it really taps these major Jungian archetypes of dreaming, symbolism, states of consciousness and of course we can see the parallelisms with Campbell's Hero Journey. It fits right in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mon...

Re: New theory: it was an extraction
The kids are older at the end of the film, and are dressed in different (but similar) clothes. Watch closely the next time you see it, the girl's shoes change to sneakers; her dress has changed and she's wearing a blouse underneath. The boy's shirt has changed, and he also has the same voice of the...
