Love the part when Fischer opened the safe by his dream father and pulls out the windmill. It's pretty much at that where you can really appreciate the sheer brilliance of their inception plan.

I thought the idea of totems was invented by Mal anyway. It could simply be that Cobbs used Mal's totem because he couldn't let go of her and/or he used her totem after she died and taught it to the others from then.
