David Fincher's Zodiac: The Human Narratives That Emerge From the Data
II have been working for quite some time on this piece as it's the film that I'm most passionate about among David Fincher's work. Zodiac (2007): The Human Narratives That Emerge From the Data "What starts out as a collection of data fragments in a murder case builds into a fascinating story of huma...

Re: Mank (2020)
I found Mank to be a hugely compelling film, in the tradition of Fincher's best works that slowly build detail and depth that only hits you well into the film's running time or possibly some time after it's over. There are multiple layers to Mank , but to me, the most interesting one is how it sugge...

Which one is incorrect??Inception Inc. wrote:One of the recent reviews on RT looks incorrect. Might put Inception back to 86%.
Re: 86% on RT
I don't consider RT votes anymore, since I've discovered that IRON MAN is higher than The Dark Knight and Memento... (and then 75% for The Prestige, that's indecent..) You really shouldn't look only at the Tomatometer to compare movies. The Tomatometer does only one thing: it's a measure of ...
Re: 85% on RT
RottenTomatoes is crazy. The average rating sometimes is 8.2 and sometimes is 8.1, with no review added, the same happens with the T-meter, 1 minute ago was 86 and now is 85 :wtf: :wtf: That's because they don't update everything simultaneously. Sometimes they add reviews, but they don't update the...

Re: Inception Review Discussion (233 total)
I disagree entirely because MC takes the average of the reviews instead of just counting whats positive and negative. You get better insight with Metacritic. I wasn't saying that a positive vs. negative method is better than an average rating method. In fact, my opinion is quite the opposite (see h...

Re: Inception Review Discussion (233 total)
Damn, there need to be 70 more positives in order to his 90% RT. Seriously? Didn't like the rating go down one percent because of one bad review? Well yeah one negative review is enough to bring it down when it's at 85%. If you have anything less than 8.5 positive reviews in each 10 reviews added i...

Re: Inception Review Discussion (233 total)
nice!!! RT sucks! too bad no one will really know. Still, if you're not keen to do what we're doing here for every movie you want to read about, RT is still your best friend. It's not perfect but not rubbish either. What's rubbish is metacritic, because of their insistance to limit their reviews to...
