Re: The Cobol Agents and Reality

I forgot about the wedding ring! I planned on trying to keep track of that the second time, but suddenly the movie started and I was just in awe again!

Re: How Inception Could Have Been Better

Plus, Saito could have been left in Limbo and Cobb could have simply waited out the sedatives and hopped off the plane without any problem, for Saito would have been sleeping like a big baby Cobb still had a warrant out for his arrest in the United States. He would have been arrested at the airport...

The Cobol Agents and Reality

I know alot has been made about Mombasa being a part of a dream, and the Cobol agents actually being projections (even suggested by Mal to Cobb in the film). However, I don't believe this is so according to the "rules" of projections. We are told that projections are the subconcious agents of a subj...

Re: New theory: it was an extraction

Interesting theory, but the one thing I would say that Cobb reveals Mal's death to Ariadne in Level 1. He doesn't reveal the inception at this level, but he clearly states that Mal's death was a suicide. They could have continued on with the dream though in order to make Cobb believe it all happened...

Re: Top vs. Ring: Theories About the End

Is there any explanation as to why the top spins infinitely in dreams? With Arthur and Ariadnes' totems, they are weighted so that only they know the feel, and thus if they are in someone else's dream they will function as a normal die or bishop, thus alerting them that it is not real. But how is th...

Thoughts on Dreams

One thought on dreams. Seems that whenever I am having a dream, I am always involved in what is happening. You dream about what is happening to yourself. So if the whole movie were Cobb's dream, why would he be dreaming about Yusuf driving the van, or Arthur flying through the hallways, as Cobb has ...

Re: An awesome theory

Interesting take, but my two points of contnetion are: 1) the clothing Leo was wearing while lying in the water are not really conducive to a day at the beach, 2) Why would the very next scene be the scene with old Saito that we come to see happens at the end. Why would he be dreaming unchronologica...

Re: The Kick

Maybe Cobb and Saito got out of Limbo by the machine in reality hitting the deadline and turning off. The threat of Limbo seems to be that you can go crazy and accept it as reality, and that when you return to the real world your brain "would be mush" as one of the characters said. The scene between...

Re: Listen to Michael Caine very closely at the ending.(Airp

After a second viewing, I believe he could of said "You're welcome". However, I simply think he meant this in regards to the favor Cobb asked him for, that being an architect good enough for Dom to pull off Inception and get back to the States.

Re: Inception Review Discussion (240 total)

I was surfing Rotten Tomatoes earlier, and saw that A.O. Scott's review was listed as a 2.5/5, thus Rotten. However, I saw him on At The Movies this morning, and he recommended seeing it. Hard to be able judge critics, or to condense them down into a sound bite. Clearly he has mixed feelings about t...
