Shark Week

Have to disagree with you there. A lot of what I know about sharks (and ocean life in general) came from Shark Week. It also changed my attitude towards them from one of fear to one of respect.

Shark Week

Never watched it. :? Lol I watched it a lot when I was a kid and I still find it pretty enjoyable television. It's full of information and presented in a very entertaining way. My only problem is that the purpose of the special (besides getting good ratings) is to promote conservation and environme...

Question for those who've read the script: Is it similar in any way to Twelve Monkeys, aside from having Bruce Willis and time travel?

Have to say I'm surprised to see Dillane as Stannis. He wouldn't have been the first person I thought of, but he proved himself in John Adams and elsewhere, so I'm fine with his casting. Carice makes perfect sense. They might need to redden her hair a bit, but otherwise perfect. I remember Liam from...

Prometheus (2012)

Anyone here that prefers Blade Runner theatrical over the directors cut? I thought the theatrical fkn sucked cause it got interrupted with all the stupid narration going on. Not until seeing the DC version 10 years later, was when I TRULY embraced it. I'm inclined to agree. I saw the final cut at a...

The Hobbit (2012/2013)

Well the first step to solving the solution is addressing it. But the audience has a right to be turned off by 3D, other than avatar and transformers there hasn't been a decent 3D film. And most of the a-list filmmakers are jumping on board and saying this is the future. They haven't experience wha...

Steven Spielberg & Peter Jackson Rant About 3D Ticket Prices Peter Jackson: “With the right movie, 3D can enhance the experience. Absolutely it can make a good film a great film and a great film a really amazing film to see and that’s what I hang on to. But certainly the projection brightness issue...

Elysium (2013)

Filming has officially started. Pics or it didn't happen  We might be waiting a while for pictures. I don't think D9 had any until its trailer came out. They kept that under tighter wraps than a Nolan film. Then again, given the higher-profile cast and the director's higher profi...

The Dark Knight Rises vs The Amazing Spiderman?

I really like Garfield and I'm looking forward to his performance because I'm sure he'll nail the character (and because this Peter doesn't seem to be utterly pathetic and whiny as Maguire's was, but actually troubled, lonely... and nerdy), and the whole movie interests me a great deal, as I think ...
