Re: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (TV)

Judging by this review, the show is sending rather muddled messages in terms of the themes it's trying to address: https://decider.com/2021/04/09/the-falcon-and-the-winter-soldier-episode-4-recap/ In terms of its message being "muddled" it's not more of an issue here, than with TDK with its "is it ...

I got my second Pfizer dose yesterday and I got promoted to supervisor of the busiest theatre in Santa Barbara. So far April has been good to me.
Good to hear it's going well. Can't wait for my vaccine.

Re: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (TV)

The Flagsmashers storyline is lacking any sense of agency. It's most likely due to the virus storyline being cut from the film but without it, the first episodes just felt like Flagsmashers are just wondering around most of the time while Sam, Bucky and Walker are overly concerned with them. They k...

Re: Killers of the Flower Moon (2022)

With Hugo, for very different reasons, it's the only Scorsese that moved me to my core. Funny enough, both movies are in my bottom 3 of his career, with... Mean Streets (which for me is probably his most overrated work). I had a completely different emotional reaction to them, especially Hugo, whic...

Him finally having his two biggest muses in one film is a big deal. Hopefully it ends up being more engaging and less awkward...

Re: Your real life picture!

I remember when I was turning 30... I got so bummed about it as I was stuck in a dead end situation in a job without any career opportunities and being single. But as it turned out, my 30s (other than the pandemic, obviously) have been a time of great self-development. I got married, got a dog and a...

How can it look exactly like two completely different looking films? :P If you said it looks like Interstellar or Ad Astra, I might have understood that but Gravity and Interstellar?

Re: Untitled Knives Out Sequel (TBD)

Relativity. By mildly successful, I meant in comparison to James Bond, which they were willing to only put out only 300 million dollars. Obviously, Knives Out was a success for a mid-budget production. You can compare it to Get Out or Us. But a blockbuster in the vein of James Bond it is not. That's...
