Re: The "There is a moment..." scene

I work at a movie theatre and love watching the audiences all jump at that moment. I've watched that scene in the theatre, as opposed to from the projection booth, a dozen times. It's interesting, Dr. Mann does the same type of movement turning a few times setting up the audience with a pattern that...

Re: Interstellar: 70mm IMAX Screening Locations

So the new 4k laser format won't fill the whole screens? If so, that's unfortunate...

I've heard the new IMAX laser system will fill the whole screen... I've also heard it's pretty spectacular. We will know later this year.

Re: Interstellar: 70mm IMAX Screening Locations

INTERSTELLAR is only the 7th Hollywood film ever to shoot with IMAX film cameras. The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Transformers 2, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Star Trek Into Darkness, Hunger Games Catching Fire, and Interstellar. It's a pretty rare thing. Most Hollywood films keep the...

Another question: How does Murph solve the gravity problem if Dr. Mann said Brand had already solved it before the Lazarus mission had even left? What exactly did Murph solve? They solved it as much as was possible with the data they had available. To fully solve the equation and give them the abil...

Re: Drove 540mi for Dome IMAX 70MM

Your friend drove 500 miles from Minneapolis... does he know they have a 70mm IMAX in the Twin Cities? We hadn't seen each other for 3.5 years, and he said I wanna watch it with you, so he drove to DSM :) For me, it's not just enjoying a fantastic film by myself but watching it with friends whom I ...

Re: What is your interpretation of the ending? SPOILER ALER

What is the significance narratively and thematically of the ending with Brand on the planet. Why end there exactly? I mean it was powerful for me, but did she find Edmunds there or did Cooper come to her? She found Edmunds dead body there. She is covering and marking his grave at the end. Old Murp...

Re: What is your interpretation of the ending? SPOILER ALER

There are four ships, two of each type. By getting the final information needed to solve the gravity problem, Murph enables the completion and use of the "generational" ships that we see at the end. And which I believe the NASA headquarters was supposed to have been at least a prototype of, right? ...

Re: What is your interpretation of the ending? SPOILER ALER

another question i just remembered, there's 3 ships in total, right? the centrifuge ship (Endurance?) and the 2 mini-ships that connects to it (Lander and Ranger).. so when Cooper detaches from the centrifuge to fall into the black hole, i'm a little confused... because... 1. Dr. Mann destroyed one ...
