Re: Interstellar Oscar Chances

I liked Gravity, all the rebirth alegory and all was cool - even if not very effective. It was a great technical achievement. If the "The Prestige Trilogy" is proved true so it might very well be one of the greatest artistic achievements ever. I remember there was a guy who predicted Nolan would " k...

Re: Controversial opinions about movies

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is a near masterpiece and Alfonso Cuaron's BEST film. Ew finally a REALLY controversial opinion. I think most people would split votes between I tu Mamá También, Children of Men and Gravity And I'd personally put those ahead HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Re: Interstellar General Information

For those of you who don't live in the Los Angeles area... I'm sorry. But here's some good news for everyone: iNTERSTELLAR has screened for a handful of journalists and filmmakers, and the early response has been absolutely ecstatic. The word is that this is not only Nolan's masterpiece, but a wate...

Re: Inherent Vice (2014)

Inherent Vice might not get a Best Picture slot and Witherspoon winning Best Actress kinda seems like a stretch.
I honestly think IV will pull a BP nomination (despite everything), though Witherspoon winning for Wild seems like wishful thinking. Moore is probably taking this one for Still Alice.

Re: Interstellar General Information

Wow the thread got a bit spoiler-ish uh haha. Had to skip a lot of stuff. Anyway this quote: From Empire "The film is close to completion, and Nolan invites us to watch a 15-minute segment from the comfort of a large leather sofa. What we are shown occurs about an hour into the story, but Nolan poli...

Re: Interstellar General Information

I'm just chiming in here. I just spoke to the operational manager for my local IMAX, and he told me they have Interstellar slotted at 163 minutes. -Vader That's great!(if true). I mean there were a few rumors around here that Interstellar 's running time was going to be around 120 minutes long, whi...
