Re: Oppenheimer - IMAX locations and info thread

The Jordan's Furniture IMAX theater in Reading, MA was once 70 mm IMAX. There was a noticeable and disappointing difference when they converted to digital (I saw Interstellar there in digital IMAX and then drove further to see it in 70 mm IMAX). Then, they later upgraded to dual 4k laser projection....

Re: Tenet User Reviews/Reactions [Possible SPOILERS]

Saw it in IMAX finally, so here it goes... I want to start by saying I felt pretty safe in the theater with protocols in place. I did NOT appreciate the behind the scenes featurette about the film that played....I went this whole time avoiding all trailers (and this forum unfortunately) just to have...

Re: Which IMAX Theaters Are You Going?

It'd be nice to know which "select cities" and theaters will be getting it in a few weeks. Already asked around to theaters and drive-in theaters near me, and the only response I got is they are only booking a week in advance due to the constantly changing situation in Hollywood. I understand the si...

Re: Dunkirk Awards Season Discussion Thread

I love Dunkirk and I love The Shape of Water...let's face it though, the latter is more the type of movie that would win these awards. Its hard to say this as a Nolan fan, but I can honestly see why The Shape of Water won, looking at it through the eyes of those who decide these things. I'm just thi...

Re: Tickets Release and Pre-Orders

Got my tickets this morning. My nearby theater had 70mm back when TDK and TDKR were released...then they switched to crappy digital (which sadly is where I saw Interstellar, but that simply prompted me to travel a bit to see it again in 70mm), but now my theater has upgraded to dual 4K laser project...

Re: Tickets Release?

I live near a theater that started as 70 mm IMAX, then converted to crappy digital for a few years. Recently, they switched once again...this time to dual 4k laser projectors, and I must say it comes so close to 70 mm film that I really don't notice the difference anymore (the few years they had reg...

Re: IMAX Prologue

I saw the prologue before Rogue One in IMAX a few hours ago and my anticipation for the film grew considerably. I loved the intensity. My friend was less impressed and found the music and buildup to be extremely annoying, but I didn't agree. I'm looking forward to the film much more than I thought I...

Re: Memento Remake?

I can tell you right now, I wouldn't want to be the director to take on that job! Good luck with that!

Memento Remake?

This is one of the most ludicrous things I have ever read.

Remaking Memento......definitely not something I think needs to be done, but that's just me.

Thoughts?

Re: UNTITLED NOLAN FILM (2017)

Not trying to be "Mr. Negative," but I think I'd be a little disappointed if the Akira rumor ended up being true. If he IS in fact joining the project, I'd prefer he does so as a producer or something. I'm in favor of another original idea, personally. If it ends up being Akira, it is what it is! Ob...
