Universal Pictures released the first look at Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. In addition to the first official photo, a couple other tidbits were revealed in the announcement as well. As previously reported, Oppenheimer will be shot on a combination of IMAX 65mm and 65mm large-format film photography. However, for the first time ever, select IMAX sequences will be shot and presented in black & white. Also included in the announcement is the return of eight-time Oscar nominee Kenneth Branagh. This will be his 3rd collaboration with Christopher Nolan after Dunkirk and Tenet.
But that’s not all! The cast continues to grow! Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!, Solo: A Star Wars Story) and David Krumholtz (The Santa Clause,The Plot Against America) are the latest actors to join the massive ensemble.
