The past week (and a few days) has seen the addition of 5 new cast members to Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer as production on the film ramps up in New Mexico. The casting news started with the report of Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, ZeroZeroZero) joining the already large ensemble cast. Then Jack Quaid (The Boys, Scream) was added this week. He was so excited, he tweeted about it. But it didn’t end there.
This morning The Hollywood Reporter dropped that Dylan Arnold (You, Halloween Kills) and Olli Haaskivi (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Manifest) will also be joining the cast. Arnold will playing Frank Oppenheimer, the younger brother of J. Robert Oppenheimer. And last, but certainly not least, Deadline dropped the exclusive that Matthew Modine (Full Metal Jacket, Stranger Things) will be reuniting with filmmaker Christopher Nolan after working together for The Dark Knight Rises.
These new cast members will be joining Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Benny Safdie, and Josh Hartnett. Oppenheimer hits theaters worldwide July 21, 2023. What do you think about this casting news? Head over to our forums page to discuss your thoughts and to stay up to date with news as we learn it.
