Person of Interest Coming This Fall on CBS

Person of Interest Cast

Every now and then we like to take the lack of specificity in the Nolan Fans title and shower Jonah Nolan, brother of Christopher Nolan, with a little love too. For the past week or so I have been tracking the development of Jonah’s Person of Interest television pilot. Last I reported, the pilot was set to be made by CBS, produced by JJ Abrams’ Bad Robot production company, written by Jonah Nolan, and starring Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson. Since then CBS has picked up the show to series and announced that it will be debuting this fall. It will be pushing veteran CSI out its marquee time-slot of 10 years; Thursdays 9:00 at PM. This goes to show you the confidence CBS has in the show, with many claiming that the network is using it has its front-runner for its new fall line-up. We’ve also learned that the show will feature Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson (Benjamin Button, The Karate Kid), Kevin Chapman (Mystic River, Unstoppable) and Jermaine Crawford of The Wire. Check out the trailer, press release, and photos below.

Deadline is reporting that Jim Caviezel is set to be the Person of Interest in the upcoming Jonah Nolan/J.J. Abrams TV Pilot for CBS. Person of Interest TV Pilot Moves Forward at CBS

J.J. Abrams and Jonah Nolan.

The 1-hour Jonathan Nolan and J.J. Abrams television pilot, titled Person of Interest, is finally moving forward at CBS. The national network won a bidding war for the rights to the pilot towards the end of last year. Now according to MyEntertainmentWorld, production on the pilot is set to begin near the end of February in New York City. Abrams and his partner Bryan Burk will produce via their production company Bad Robot. As the series creator, Jonathan Nolan will be writing the teleplay for the pilot. This is his first foray into writing for the small screen after writing for the large on films like The Prestige, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises.

Given that production will be getting into gear in a matter of weeks, we could hear about casting and other related news about the show soon. J.J. is currently in production directing Super 8, and Jonah is trying to get his script for Hell and Gone into production over at Warner Bros. Thanks to Bueller in the forums for the tip.
