Alternate Inception Poster Revealed via SnapTag

Posted on Wednesday, November 24th, 2010 at 3:59 pm by AlexHaas

A brand new, unused, alternate Inception poster was just revealed via SnapTag, the messaging service that’s been releasing little behind the scenes tidbits of Christopher Nolan’s lastest blockbuster.

The SnapTag fun began on November 15th, and has since released a quick clip of DiCaprio’s bathtub kick and an audio clip of Ellen Page screaming “wake me up!” This poster, though, is by far the greatest of the SnapTag goodies.

To get in on the SnapTag fun, check out The Inception SnapTag website for more details. Sign up to receive the next batch of treats via MMS or email by taking a picture of this Inception top and text it to 528491 95871 or send it to inception@snaptag.mobi.

Inception ‘Augmented Sound Project’ In The Works

According to Wired UK, iPhone app developer Reality Jockey is working with director Christopher Nolan and composer Hans Zimmer on a new “augmented sound project” based on the original score to Inception. Reality Jockey is the developer behind the popular RjDj app – which is a music based application for the iPhone – of which this new project is supposed to be quite similar in idea.

The software will squeeze the music through different “dreams” (filters) depending on the location, time, date and activity of the user. “There are dreams that are only played once a month on full-moon nights, or when the weather is bad, or when someone is traveling at more than 120mph…”

I have no idea what all of this really means, but it sounds like it will definitely be worth checking out! Word on the street is that this “project” is close to being finished and will likely release via iTunes around December 7th when Inception is released on Blu-ray and DVD.

inception sequel leo Warner Bros. Wants An Inception Sequel

With Inception’s box office sailing just under $811 million worldwide, this sort of thing was bound to break eventually. The Australian film site What’s Playing has an insider source that, after coming up empty on new Superman details, claimed “don’t be surprised if there’s another Inception though.” An Inception sequel or an original like Inception? The source clarified in a later response:

“…Warner Bros wants another Inception – as in sequel. Doesn’t make a lick of sense creatively, but financially? well… it made ”a lot” of money for them. Can’t imagine Nolan wanting to do a sequel, let alone direct one. Also don’t imagine Jeff would want to piss off Nolan by doing one around him. All interest is on the studio side at this stage. We shall see comrade…”
